Check the door jam switches, one may be bad, stuck, and the switch by the head light switch, make sure it is off, the one that dims the lighting.

Well I would say for sure since I'm not looking at it, but more than likely if it does not turn off with the dimmer switch with the doors closed, and it is part of the headlight switch then yes.

Try turning the headlight switch knob clockwise. This way you'll be sure the interior lights should be off. If it's been raining you may be getting water in the doorjam where the switch is. Water is a conductor and will complete the circuit to ground. The lights will then stay on until it drys out. HTH. -Jim
