2002 Chevy Malibu, Battery is Full but Engine won't turn over. What do I do?
I found another question on this site related to the exact same issue, but
none of the solutions there have worked. My car won't turn over, but the
headlights and radio still work just fine. When I try to start my car, the engine
won't crank. Additionally, when I have the door open the dinging noise that
you usually get when you leave your keys in the ignition with the door open
starts going really fast. I have two questions: 1. is this my anti-theft or is
something else? and 2. If it is my anti-theft how do I make it disengage?
How do you know your battery is good? Test it under load. Just because it reads 12V on a meter without car on does not say it is good. Have you checked the ignition switch? All fuses and relays need to be checked and deducted from diagnosis
It's not my battery because I switched out the battery for another that I knew worked and the issue persisted. Haven't checked the ignition switch but have checked the fuses and relays.
Check gor a bad fuse or open line in the back of the fuse box or pcm plugs no power to the pcm
