why would my radio in my 2002 chevy cavalier not work?

Has it always been like this? Did it start recently?

Sometimes its just the fuse. try replacing with a new fuse. the radio light will come on when you turn on your running lights.

Sometimes a fuse will look good,but be burnt.

Bill the radio has power. The description says the radio has power and that the lights work so if the fuse not only looks good but also allows power to pass through it then I'm thinkin its probably good. That's why the question was asked how long have you had the car and when did the issue start.
