My Trail blazer is shifting rough especially from 1st to 2nd. once rpms ramp up and prepare to shift the engine begins to knock just prior to the shift. At higher speeds the shifting seems fine?

Have you checked you fluid level, how many miles on the car, have you changed your fluid? also possible bad shift solenoids...
