new engine for baffle defect

Asked by Lisamomski Apr 01, 2011 at 07:51 PM about the 2008 Chevrolet Suburban

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Our truck is having its engine replaced after an oil baffle defect.  We are
concerned about the future reliability of the transmission and other related
parts. Are we to expect issues with the new engine attaching to the worn
parts.  Truck has 80,000 miles and is covered under warranty to 100,000.

Anyone have luck extending warranty?

You'll be fine, it won't produce much more power, if the trans had 200k+ then it might be worth worrying about but not now.
