What do you consider false advertising?

Asked by GuruMBQDL May 18, 2020 at 11:26 AM about the 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Question type: Shopping & Pricing

A 2008 trailblazer was advertised for 5995. We made
appointment and went to test drive.  When we talked price,
the amount went to 6995. That's when he said the 5995
included a discount of 1000 with a trade in of 2009 or
newer with 100k miles or less. I don't understand how they
mark the price down, which show it on cargurus as 500
below market. All along they list it for 1000 more.. It should
be up front, not in the details. Is this acceptable in your
policies? The dealer was McCarty Moorse Chevrolet in
Overland Park KS.

Happens all the time, just to get you into the dealership. It's tough finding honest ones. Nothing you can do but keep looking.
