While driving my 08 Cobalt will lose all eclectric power. RPM and MPH needles will drop, stereo turns off, but still have power steering and can still accelerate. HELP?!

It could be a number of issues, but from what you described it is most likely the Alternator. When it fails the Electronic fuel injection cannot no longer supply gas to the engine, usually the accessories are the first to go in this case (the radio will stop working, power windows, gauges, etc). I would run it by an auto parts store and have them check the alternator. If its not that, it could be an ECM issue (sensor), or an electrical issue. I have noticed it does it when I hit some significant bumps. Again, the needles drop to nothing, stereo goes off, but still have power steering and can accelerate

Might be something as simple as a bad battery connection. While you're having things tested have them load test the battery. Might be time for a new one.
