Do you have any maintenance records with the car? Regular maintenance items like drive belts (or serpentine belt), spark plugs/wires, air filter should be replaced every 30K miles, oil changes every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, tire rotation every 7,500 to 10,000 miles. The timing belt is due to be replaced at 120K miles. Since the vehicle is new to you, you should check the condition of the brake pads, brake fluid level, power steering level. Also, coolant should be replaced once every two years, as it contains rust inhibitors that break down over time. The radiator cap should also be replaced once every two years. Try and get an owner's manual or service manual for your model car, it will list service intervals for major components.
