08 pilot battery light and smell

Battery light came on and Honda wouldn't start. Was told
alternator needs to be replaced so we did that.  Battery was
supposed to be 'good but went ahead a relaxed that as
well.  Battery light just came on and now smell an electrical
smell while driving. Any suggestions?

Could be a faulty BMS sensor if equipped.also may have another component such as the tensioner or A/C Compressor seized causing The belt to slip.
