Asked by Oct 02, 2017 at 03:02 PM about the 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix

Question type: Car Customization

Just wondering what cars would have a similar
engine i could steal to supercharge it. Or if it is
even possible to do it with out spending a whole
bunch.

Some of the Bonneville's were supercharged, you can find those cheap if you look around, I was going to buy one in my area that looked really good for a grand but decided to fix the vehicle a already own first.

I dont know much about cars but i looked at the engines in a bonneville ( 2005 ) and pontiacs and they dont have the same engine as my 2008. Are the engines compatible in both cars?

If it's not a 3800. Then what engine do you have in your Grand Prix?

It is not even possible without spending a bunch of money. Unless you plan on doing it yourself (but you said you do not know much about cars). Installing a different engine requires modifications which cost a lot if you are paying a shop to figure it out.

I can check out the engine again later its probably that but its only a 3.8l and the one in the bonneville is bigger with more cylanders not sure if that makes a difference. My dad is a mechanic and can put it together for me he just said i hve to find the right stuff on my own..

Wrong year of Bonnieville, the supercharged Bonnieville or Park Avenue, will have the 3.8 liter V6 supercharged engine. It will be sitting in the engine compartment sideways just like the one in your vehicle.
