2008 jeep liberty right brake light
2008 jeep liberty. Right light/brake light not
working. Center high light above window and left
light work fine. Blown bulb replaced, socket for
brake light was melted. Replaced ckt board.
Replaced bulbs. Still no light/brakelight on right
side. Any ideas???? Thx
Yes, insufficient ground to the chassis~ the motor may be fine, the fender/chassis connection is dodgy, and may not make it to the rear of the vehicle, if it's rusted, I can see that, have seen where the gent ran an extra ground wire so the lights would work there~ as far as overheating, can see where lack of Ground may cause that~
Thanks Bob. The brake/tail light are the only lights on that circuit board that dont work. The directional and reverse lights work fine on right side. Looks like 5 wires on that connector. I havent checked the ground yet. Would the brakes have a different ground than the other lights on the same connector?
