I looked at info Avalanche 1500 5.3L It should be in the gas tank. Did you check voltage and ground for the fuel pump? Are you missing anything else, like spark and fuel injector pulse?

Need to check power and grounds. Engine grounds on driver side and computer grounds can cause radio and gauge cluster to malfunction
