Roll Stability Control system

Asked by abento May 11, 2008 at 01:07 AM about the 2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid

Question type: General

Do the hybrid has stability control? I read in Consumer Report than it does not. If not why?

It may not have it due to differences in the hybrid vs. gas engine design, and to different weight distribution because of the batteries in the hybrid.

This vehicle was made as cheaply as possible due to the cost of the hybrid system (borrowed from Toyota). I have issues with noise and the lack of a few normal features normally found on Mercury vehicles. The cheap radio antenna for one as well as other plastic parts on the interior of the car. I change the horn from single tone to dual tone and upgraded the headlight bulbs to higher power, whiter color. Good luck.
