You know, It could be the half shaft is going bad. That could explain the thumping on acceleration if it is a continuous thumping. If its only once it is probably a motor or transmission mount. If you are into doing things yourself, lets start with the half shaft. Put the vehicle in park. Set the park brake. Block the wheels with chalk blocks or something similar. Once you've made the vehicle safe, slide under the front end and see if there is any play in the drive shafts. You will want to do this when the car is cold and you may want to put on gloves. There are plenty of videos on YouTube that will show you what to look for. A good shop will be able to help if you feel more comfortable. There are even shops that only service Drive (Half) Shafts. By the way, your car has two. The passenger side is longer and thicker. Now if it is only once, Set the Park Break. Hold the brakes tight. Open the hood so you can see the engine under the hood. Put the car in drive. while holding the break (Do this 25 feet away from anything in front or to the rear of your car in case your foot slips and the park break fails) rev the engine and watch it to see if it jumps or if you hear it thump. If it does you have found your problem. Good Luck
