What does o/d off light mean?

It means overdrive is off. Meaning the final gear (probably 4th in an 07 automatic Rio). Simply press the O/D button on the selector and the car will use all 4 gears instead of just 3. Its to improve fuel economy when driving on the highway or at higher speeds.

What if you can't get the button on the O/D to move on or off. Please tell me it could be a fuse.. That's about all I can afford.
