2004 chevy cavalier clutch hydraulic hose replacement

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I am having trouble finding a replacement  clutch hydraulic hose for my 2004 chevy cavalier. My old one has a small tear and fluid is leaking from it, making my clutch fall down to the floor. Where can I get one, even if it is online. Will any similar clutch hydraulic hose will work? Is it a good idea to replace the clutch hydraulic line as well? I noticed that the clutch master cylinder, the clutch hydraulic line, and the hoses are all separate parts in my car.

A shop that builds hydraulic hoses for tractors might be able to make you one.

That is excellent advice. Yes, any high pressure hose will work with right fittings. Bring the old hose with you and a construction equipment or farm tractor dealer will be able to duplicate it Or at the least direct you to a hydraulic hose shop (usually also sell bearings for all sorts of equipment also)

Pontiac Sunfire also uses the same hydraulic line as cavalier. It's just two c-clips that holds it together. It's easy to replace. It is only available from the dealer so you will not find it at any parts stores, try find one at a junkyard and it will be much cheaper..
