Putting a new head gasket on that junk will be expensive- are you counting your pennies? Then you should get a different car-

most those engines will leak externally i have done dozens , do your self a favor do both sides . factory book time 12-13 hours most dealers will charge about 120 per hour . find a GOOD independent shop , interview them on thier credentials . proper head gasket job sould come in around 2000.00 to 2500.00 /// keep in mind that a motor in that is close to 9000.00 . very expensive to work on

It took to me 2 days about 6 hours per day,If you are mechanical incline you can do it yourself.Get on U-Tube Puch in head gasket repair and watch the one by British Atlantic there is 2 parts it shows you step by step I Did it the gasket kit I bought of eBay for 47.00 bucks and I bought heads of eBay for 500 but my heads we’re warped from it over heated but you’re heads might be fine just take the heads to a machine shop have them checked watch the video and you will no If you can do it.
