slip light goes on when not slipping

Asked by JS78 Feb 11, 2014 at 08:57 AM about the 2006 INFINITI G35

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi!  The slip light and the brake light are going on when the car is not slipping or being braked.  Is this an electrical issue?  I have a 2006 G35x with about 90000 miles on it-- it is also so Chicago-- could it be the freezing cold?

Your breaks are worn-out, pushing the break fluid tighter and loose, had the same problem on fx35, get your brakes changed.

I just had my 06 infinity g35 slip light come on and loss of power.i cut the car off and it's making a clicking noise trying to crank it like the batteries dead.

I’m having the exact same problem as GuruYFFW8... never had issues then all of a sudden I go to get in & the door lights are blinking, paired with clicking noises & no power, as well as the battery light being on. But it drove fine the day before & now it won’t start. What should I do to fix the issue?

Check the 2 plugs on the inline fuse on the positive battery terminal for corrosion that could cause bad connection and possibly melt the wires.
