Asked by Chris Oct 23, 2011 at 06:49 PM about the 1988 Porsche 928

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Have replaced fuel pump and relay still will not start. I can hot wire pump and hear it run but do not get any fuel. Can remove fuel supply line to pump and fuel runs out.

sounds like their is a leak or rusted small hole in fuel line, air gets into it restricting fuel flow, check lines.never hotwire the FP,it is eather wired wrong or the ecm fuse is blown,it runs the FP.also you have to bleed the air out of fuel system, their is a bleeder valve on fuel rail.
