Truck will not shut off with key

I have a 2005 Silverado 1500.i replaced
engine 4.3 now the truck cranks up
and runs fine.but when you turn it off
with the key truck keeps running or
you can hit the high and low beam
lights and truck shuts off .any idea
what would cause this problem.?

Clean the backside of the fuse/relay block. Common problem they corrode. Have had the same issue.
