never will get a regular hose down to tank ,from tube. There is a big Plastic Ball in end of metal pipe that rubber hose from that end to tank. It acts as a check valve in case of a flip over, to prevent gas leaking. If have the smaller vent hose from tank, disconnect it from tank, and syphon gas out of tank. hand pump style is what I used on a Blazer when replaced fuel pump. it still leaves about 2 gal + or - in tank. as cant get it all out. unless take tank off and pour out what's left..
