When a fault is detected by the cars sensors, the CEL and cruise control light both light up. You need to have the car scanned for the fault codes to give you an indication of what is wrong. You can purchase, or borrow a OBDii generic scanner to read the codes, have your mechanic charge you for it, or drive over to your local auto parts store and in most cases they will do it for free. Write down the 4 digit codes and post them back here for more help.

Have the trouble codes read to know what is wrong. The CC light is just to get your attention.
