Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Sometimes when brake pedal is depressed the ABS systems tries to engage.....there is a slight vibraton in brake pedal as this happens.  The light sometimes comes on after this and sometimes later.
When the ignition is switched off and then back on.....the light goes off until this happens again.   There are times when you here and feel the vibration but the abs light may not come on.

My car done this once or twice now but it was very quick... which kinda sucks considering I live in a busy city.

I had to replace the ABS sensor in the right rear for this problem. My local gas station had a tool that attached to the wheels and measured the ABS engaging, but his tool wasn't fast enough to catch it. Took it to the dealer and they figured out right away which sensor was bad. Was a $200 repair but it has fixed the problem completely.

One of your wheel speed sensors or the reluctor ring on the axle itself is bad , dirty or air gap too much
