Not sure if it is leaking from the thermostat house but. If what is leaking is what was disassembled. I do not want to tell any one that they are doing it wrong, but maybe the person is missing some steps. The area where the gasket seals must be clean, dry, and any parts of old gasket removed (clean) when installing the houseing over the thermostat. The thermostat must be seated in its grove. It it is not and off to the side. When the house is tight down it will not seat correctly leaving a gap to where coolant will leak from. One other thing is. Lot of Chrysler thermostats come with an "0"-ring already on them. Some times this is not enough to leak it from leaking. When I install a new thermostat I always add a little bit of grey RTV sealant to the sealing surface of the thermostat housing as an added leak prevention method on top of the already installed "0"-ring. If you take you time and tighten the housing bolts down equally you should be ok. I hope this helps
