When car changes into second gear (auto) it jumps mechnic cannot find anything wrong

2005 Chevy Cobalt - the car jumps into the next gear, nothing can be found - weas there ever a recall. It started doing it about four months ago

Sounds like a failing shift solenoid. GM transmissions are notorious for that. Have it diagnosed at a reputable transmission shop or your local Chevy dealer. HTH. -Jim
