On your vehicle it would be best to have a shop do it, that way you completely cut out the possibilities of setting the car on fire due to fluid spray on the exhaust manifold.

Hi. Hope I'm not to late to help Honey. Some of the power steering are electric and some are fluid pumped. You first somehow have to determine which you have. If its electric it may be a bad fuse or worse the power steering motor has gone bad.
