Volvo V70 D5 [D5244T4] Doesn't rev over 3000 rpm sometimes

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It's Volvo V70 D5 2005 and let me tell you its story.

We bought the car drove around revved it hard with no problems ever. Then one day I lost all turbo boost and it sounded like a vacuum cleaner. The pipe coming from underneath the turbo had simply come loose. I noticed the gasket was damaged but thought if I tighten it enough I won't have problems. Which I didn't. Until Autobahn hit. I went to my homeland and on my way back through Germany on the autobahn I drove around 200km/h and all of a sudden same thing happened pipe went out. I tried to make some kind of temporary gasket with a latex glove, but that didn't work. So when that failed I decided to disconnect whatever device was transferring this air to the engine from the turbo. Somewhere near the EGR valve area. So I disconnected it and drove it as a 2.4D without the turbo. When I got back home to Sweden I bought a brand new part with the head of the pipe and the gasket and installed it. But now the problem is that I can't rev it beyond 3000 - 3500 rpm. I don't know if it's because of the "fixing" I did on the high way or if something new came up. I've tried revving over 3500 in all gears and it's usually the hardest to do with the all the other gears besides gear 1. Sometimes I have that problem in gear 1 as well. This is what I have changed so far:

* Oil + Filter
* Dieselfilter
* Airfilter
* Mass airflow sensor(from a same D5244T4 i.e used part).

None of these things have changed anything. Please if you want to suggest that I should try something, don't just guess. Only comment if you it's actually a likely solution to my problem. Don't just guess away. That just makes me more confused. That being said, I appreciate the help.
