serpintine ..belt came off. replaced and now engine overheats

could bad water pump cause belt to come off, and now with belt replaced,
cause over heating

Most of the time when belt poppes off or bust, one of the pullys on whatever the belt is rotating has froze or broken. If overheating check water pump pully.

yes idler pullus can be bad just make shure belt is routid right they do fit diffrint ways
