I have a 2007 pontiac g6 it overheated and the serpentine belt was broke in half. We put a new belt and water pump on it and itsee making a loud squealing sound and quit running

Take the belt off and spin each pulley by hand to determine which one is making the squealing noise.

thank you we figured it out. the water pump pulley was bad
