Car wont shut off

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The other night I turned my car off took out the keys and went to unbuckle my kids from
there car seats.  My dashlights started to blink and the seat belt alarm was dinging and
then stopped.  I started the car again and shut it off and it continued to run even after i
took the key out it continued to run for a couple minutes.  any ideas?

ignition switch is not loosing continuity when you turn it off
