My friend thinks if he keeps his inside heat on it will keep his car from overheating. The weird thing is its never overheated. He does it in the middle of summer when it's at the hottest and it's a drag. I make him turn it off when I'm in the car and it never very overheats. Please let me know how to explain to him that he's being paranoid. In technical terms though. Cuz we already know it's nutty. Thank you for helping me out
Running the interior heat can help cool an overheating car but there is ZERO reason to do so in a car without problems. You can't help a nut but good luck anyway.
Cooling systems are designed to cool the engine without a heater. Heater used to be optional. Why install AC in a car if you must also run the heater?
