Hello All, just purchased a '73 Luxury LeMans loaded with 32 options including L75 455 4bbl 3.08 safe t track CDG code rear differential, power sunroof, power bucket seat, PW, PDL, Pw Trunk, cruise, tilt, elect. rear defog. and more. Of the 33,916 luxury lemans produced, how many were 455 equipped?  Trying to determine how rare vehicle is to proceed with a restoration or not. VIN starts 2G37Y3P Thank You, in advance, for your help.   Dave

I had a 73 Sport Coupe 350 CID 3 speed floor shift and remember that they had two 455's offered that year. both with a 4 BBl but one was a more potent SD (Super Duty). Not sure where you can find out which one your car has but there were very few at the high end. Most were 350's. They also offered a 400 block. You might try Pontiac Historical Services for the info you seek.

I've done the PHS and they only provided total Lemans production broken down by models, but no break down with engine designation. No 455 SD engines were available to the public in any version of the '73 GM A body Lemans.
