Matching numbers and worth?

I'm looking at a 68 Lemans convertible. how do i tell if it is a matching numbers car?  Also, what's the range of value?  good body, good interior, good top, runs well.  little rust. needs paint

i dont think matching numbers apply to 68 lemans not like its a gto . but in decent shape 6 or 8 cyl , i would say around $2500.00 if the rust isnt that bad & its always worst than it appears, i know rust!

if it were a GTO you could set your price,Being a Le Mans,$ 800.00 to $1,200.00.
