I have a 1972 Pontiac Grand Prix SJ and I just put a new fuel pump on it. The gas
gage was working befor I did this but now the gas gage reads full all the time.Does
anybody know what the proublem might be. Thanks Sincerley, Keith

If its an in tank pump, and it came with the fuel level sending unit (float), then chances are you installed it in such a way that the arm and float are stuck in the up position, rather than riding on the fuel. Unfortunately, this means doing the job over again. Or try tapping the tank a couple times with a hammer to see if the arm drops.
