06 Chevy Cobalt issues

I am having problems with my car cutting off in traffic or
wherever depending who you comes off the gas and my
mechanic keep throwing out maybe reasons

Did you have any trouble codes? There's a ton of reasons why this could happen, you have to provide way more info if you hope to get a useful response.

No it don't have any warning lights on it feels like some exhaust issue when you hitting the brakes we changed the fuel filters but its still doing the same

Does it run hot when your in traffic? Does it start up immediately after it stalls in traffic? An O2 sensor may be on its way out but your engine light should come on periodically even if it goes out after the car is shut off for some time. As Ken mentioned we need more info with regards to running rough, hesitating, surging.
