Question type: Maintenance & Repair

We have an '06 cobalt. We had the fuel pump
changed and now when we put gas in it, it will only
take 2 gallons at a time. They replaced the fuel
pump again and no change. Mechanic checked the

It has to do with the EVAP system. The canister may be saturated with fuel, no place for the air coming out of the tank to go. If this is the case it is from overfilling the gas tank. When filling the gas tank your suppose to stop when the gas pump nozzle clicks off the first time. Keep filling and the excess gas over flows into the EVAP system.
