Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i have a 2006 chevy cobalt, automatic. car started normally but while driving to
work it completely shut off, like all the lights turned off, radio off, etc. i got to the
side of the road & tried to turn it back on but nothing would come on. not even
the lights. took out the battery to see maybe if it was dead but when i hooked it
up to the battery tender it was at 95%.

It sounds like all the electrical in the car shut off, even the head lights. If so, you probably have a blown mega-fuse in the fuse box nest to the engine. It might be possible that the ignition switch is now defective.
