Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I was trying to replace the head gasket on
my 1988 Nissan d21 pickup today. I dropped
a small piece of vacuum hose approx
5inches into one of the coolant ports. What
can I do to fix this?

Do I have to take the bottom part of the motor apart or is there another way to get it out? Please I need professional advise on this?

You need to get it out one way or another. There are tools for fishing out parts but you could also try a shop vac.

It went all the way down in the engine. It is not still in the coolant port. I have already checked.
