Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My dad got this truck real cheap and the heater core was bad in it. so he took the dash
out and replaced it. now it as heat but no rear lights or turn signals. hes getting a bit old
and im guessing he didnt plug them back up. i looked under the driver side dash and
found a lot of loose wires with plugs but no where to plug them in, dose anyone know what
the light plugs look like and there they plug into. Thank you JP

unspecific to your make, model, and year. Removing an instrument panel as one unit for access to a heater case, Requires removal of side lower panels. (kick panels) The wiring that attaches to instrument panels with the fuse panel attached, runs behind the kick panel and up. You often have several connections on left or right, but rear light wiring should be left. Fuses and power distribution circuits could have been affected. Fuses could even just fall out. Now apologize for your attitude about age being a factor and show him how smart you are. Rear lights should have power and ground you can measure back there. and vehicles that have ever towed have add-ons or cut ins to the taillight wiring. (especially messy on a jap pickup) some had a converter. Lets see how old he was and how smart you are ? Keep smilin !
