Smoking after head gaskets replaced

Car was using a quart of oil every 3000 miles. Had the head gasket replaced because of small leak. Now car is smoking (color blue) and is using a quart every 200 miles. What could have caused this?? Car is running like a sewing machine.

Sounds like the head gasket did not seal properly and is allowing oil to enter the cylinder head above the pistons and be burnt. Unfortunately you need to either torque the bolts down further or start over with a fresh head gasket.

If you over heated it before replacing head gaskets I would check the compression. Pull plugs hook up compression guage and let engine crank 5 times per cylinder. Hopefully the you won't find a low cylinder. Good luck.
