auto-adjust-suspension 1986 mazda

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

i just bought this 1986 Mazda 626 GT Turbo hatchback a month ago and it only
has 108,000 miles on it and is in good shape body and engine but needs shocks.
It has an auto adjust suspension (aas) and I need to know if I can just put regular
shocks on it. How to find out?

Hi jjones, yes you can put standard Monroe on the car (I did it) but you will have a marshmellow feeling with ordinary shocks and loose 75% handling....so i put new AAS shock, 2 inch lowered with double sway bar on the rear end with good race tire and...i blow the engine. Still looking to buy another one. Jameslx
