I have a 2007 hyundai sante fe.  Do I have shocks
or struts in the front?  Also, what are bearings and
is repairing/replacing them a separate thing from
the shocks and struts?

Yes there is front struts on your car. Replacing front bearings is totally separate from the struts. The front wheel bearings allow your wheels move, go around in circles, rotate.
