I have 1997 Chevy blazer, is there an easy way to access the gas sending unit?

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a bad leak at the connection, The sending unit line appears quite rusty. Could it be loose or is there a way to tighten it without dropping my gas tank? Is there a way to access it from above from inside the vehichle? I saw the leak after lifting the flap in the driverside wheel well and there is very little room to work on it there.
                 Thank you in advance, Randy
