My car feels like it's jerking side to side

Could be the wheel alignment. When was the last time you had your wheels aligned? It could be so many things....cv halfshaft, tie rod, struts....

could be misfire of spark plugs. When this happens it's called lag and that can cause the car to go side to side. check your plugs or replace them, etc.
