No spark

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaces coil on my 1987 vw Jetta but
don't got no spark at all, I got power and
ground going through but no spark, could
it be a bad ignition control module?

First, make sure the distributor is actually rotating, it could be stripped

Check spark at the Hall Effect sender. If you have voltage going to it and still no start, replace Hall Effect sender.
