Hi stick. At least your son has excellent taste! I can't find any evidence there was car crash safety rating testing done in 1967 so I don't think you'll be able to cite official data on the safety of a 1967 Mustang. Mileage will of course vary wildly based on the engine and condition of the car but it's not going to be an economical ride. Finally, while it's not a fragile vehicle in terms of upkeeps and breakdowns you will pay a vintage premium for any repair work you need to do. Just getting parts for a 1967 Mustang can be a challenge in itself. Hope that helps! Good luck to you and your son!
