Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey, wondering if anyone has had problems with their vw beetle starting to shake/shimmy very slightly at around 50 mph. This happened a day ago after it was driven in a heavy snowstorm. Any ideas? Thanks

I'd have the usual things checked first -- tire rotation done, and wheel balancing. This cures most wheel shake. You may have lost a wheel weight in the snowstorm.

Agree bad tires are the main cause for your problem, check tire pressure or any off normal tire shapes bumps allot times on the inside of the tires... If not find nothing of normal you might need tire balance. Might sound stupid but see if you dont have any frozen snow inside the rims this might take the balance off
