Gears ???

Can a 1970 VW bug have 6 gears? She
was a Automatic and switch to a
manual. We e think we found a 5th
gear and it doesn't like to go in 5th but
goes into 6th with no problems

in 1970 stock.... no ...... what transmission is in it now????? what are you playing with or swaping ?? VOLKSWAGEN BEETLE - A.T.; 2.0L, 6 SPEED, TRANSMISSION CODE HFZ
