The horn in my 1970 bug does not work. What should I check 1st? And where is the horn on the car?

Many did or some think it has no ground but it not like a light bulb. It is wired more like the power to a light switch in a home As the battery negative is ground, the power wire to switch and horn broken by the horn switch, when pushed completes the circuit the horn itself is grounded to body/frame as the battery is too so this is why it works, After-market new horn unit kits can be installed as-well that you wire in yourself so if wires/switch/horn/grounds bad then your kit will install a fully working horn with all new parts. Or do the same with the stock just do new wiring like it is already installed, if switch does not work replace it or if horn does not work replace it.
