My bud and just rebuilt my 1600 cc sand railengine. Running great till yesterday. Sounded like it was running on 2 cylinders. all hoses and wires are connected

my new engine is now sounding like its running on 2 cylinders instead of four.
new components. ran great until yesterday. Fresh gas. still. will not idle runs
rough. rev up to 2ooo rpm runs momentarily then chokes down.

Make sure the cap, rotor, wires and plugs are in good shape. Check the ignition timing and if you have points and condenser check the points gap.
